Thalapathy Vijay Feels ‘Bad’ for Jana Nayagan Producer, Calls SRK a ‘Role Model’

Thalapathy Vijay feels said about the politically motivated troubles Jana Nayagan is facing. In an interview with NDTV, the Tamil superstar said that he feels bad for his producer because the project is suffering due to his entry into politics.

The actor-politician anticipated obstacles after entering politics, was mentally prepared for personal impacts, but is pained by the hardship caused to the producer. After all, the budget of Jana Nayagan is about Rs 350 Cr, with Vijay's remuneration alone totalling Rs 250 Cr.

The Bigil and Mersal star said that his political entry has led to a "permanent exile" from films.

Interestingly, the CM aspirant opened up about admiring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, calling him a role model. He highlighted SRK's clarity in words/articulation and mentioned a close bond with him. During the filming of Jawan in Chennai, a viral interaction between them was talked about.

'Jana Nayagan' was planned for a Pongal release on January 9 and is being described as Vijay's last film before he fully steps into politics. The actor has recently launched his own political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). The film ran into trouble when the CBFC decided to withhold certification on the grounds that certain scenes could hurt religious sentiments.
