Rishab Shetty Receives Leadership in Cinema Award at IFFM

New Delhi:Actor Rishab Shetty shared a series of pictures on social media as he was honoured with the Leadership in Cinema Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.The Leadership in Cinema Award was presented to the actor to recognise his contribution to expanding the global conversation around Indian cinema by championing narratives that are unapologetically rooted, culturally authentic and artistically ambitious. He received the award on August 13 at IFFM.
Shetty shared a post on his Instagram handle on Monday and said he is honoured to receive the award. "Deeply honoured to receive the Best Director Award for 'Kantara: Chapter 1' and the Leadership in Cinema Award at @iffmelbourne 2026," he wrote in the caption.
"These honours belong to my entire team, Kannada cinema and the culture and traditions that inspire our stories. Heartfelt gratitude. #IFFM," he added.

Shetty last featured in "Kantara: A Chapter 1", which he also directed and produced. The film was a sequel to his 2022 directorial "Kantara" and also starred Rukmini Vasanth alongside the actor. It released in 2025.
