Mangaluru: Renowned Telugu actor Prabhas, accompanied by Producer Vijay Kirangadur of Hombale Films, offered prayers at Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka on Friday.

Hombale Films' Salaar has achieved a remarkable global gross of over Rs 705 crore within the first 20 days of its release.

Prabhas and Vijay Kirangadur arrived at the temple at around 5.30 pm and were warmly received by the temple authorities. Temple hereditary archak Sriharinarayanadasa Asranna provided insights into the temple, while Hereditary Archak Ananthapadmanabha Asranna presented prasadam, a saree offered to the Goddess, and a photograph.

Sources reveal that Vijay Kirangadur holds deep devotion for Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari, making it a tradition to visit the temple before the movie release to offer prayers. Following the movie's release, he revisits the temple, often accompanied by the film's lead actor.

Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple, renowned as one of Karnataka's prominent temples, ranks among the top temples in terms of revenue collection.

Drawing thousands of devotees, the temple is particularly famous for its Yakshagana Seve.
