Actor RK Sagar of the Mogali Rekulu (TV serial) fame has revealed that he was offered a key character in Ram Charan's Rangasthalam. Upon Charan's suggestion, he was offered the elder brother character, which was eventually played by Aadhi Pinisetty.

Sagar was hesitant to accept the role because of what had happened to him many years ago. He had a bitter experience with Prabhas' Mr. Perfect. He was told he would be seen as the film's second male lead in the romantic entertainer. Taking those words at face value, Sagar gave the nod. After shooting for 15 days, Sagar was taken aback by the contrast between the narrated version and the filmed scenes.

Even though he wanted his portions to be completely trimmed from the movie, the makers of Mr. Perfect cited practical difficulty and continued with his scenes in the final edit.

The Mr. Perfect experience left a sour taste in Sagar's mouth. Which is why when Rangasthalam came his way, he was skeptical, and feared that another such situation might arise. He dilly-dallied. By the time he could make up his mind, the character was offered to Aadhi.
