After a string of underwhelming films and an admitted creative slump, legendary filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is gearing up for a grand comeback. Known for redefining Indian cinema with his gritty storytelling and cult horror classics, RGV is now returning to his roots—with a twist.
Following the announcement of his upcoming crime action drama Syndicate, the maverick director has now revealed his next project: a horror-comedy titled "Police Station Mein Bhoot", and the internet is buzzing. The tagline? “You Can’t Kill The Dead.” And in a casting coup, Manoj Bajpayee is set to lead the film.
RGV, a name synonymous with horror in Indian cinema, has a rich legacy with hits like Bhoot (12 Va Anthasthu), Raat (Rathri), Kaun (Evaru), Deyyam, and Vaastu Shastra (Marri Chettu). This time, he’s blending spine-chilling terror with humor for a genre-bending ride.
Sharing the concept, RGV teased: “We run to the police when we’re scared… but where will the police run to when they get scared?”
The story unfolds after a brutal police encounter, when a haunted police station becomes the epicenter of supernatural chaos. As the ghosts of slain gangsters wreak havoc, terrified cops find themselves fleeing the very place meant to symbolize safety.
RGV promises that Police Station Mein Bhoot will be a rollercoaster of thrills, laughs, and top-notch VFX—marking his bold return to the genre that once defined him.
