Priyanka Chopra In Nairobi For SSMB 29 Shoot
The African schedule follows months of intensive work in Hyderabad.
After wrapping an extended schedule in Hyderabad and Odisha, actor Priyanka Chopra has flown to Nairobi to join the next leg of SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film SSMB 29, which features Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
On Wednesday, Chopra shared glimpses of her journey, posting photos from her flight to Kenya. Soon after, she treated fans to snapshots and videos from a wildlife safari, capturing the raw beauty of the African savannah.
Last month, reports confirmed that the production team had shifted base to Africa to shoot some of the film’s high-octane action and chase sequences. The buzz around SSMB 29 only grew stronger after Rajamouli’s recent birthday note to Mahesh Babu, where he acknowledged the mounting curiosity surrounding the project.
Earlier in a note, Rajamouli wrote: "Dear film enthusiasts in India and across the globe, as well as Mahesh’s fans, it has been some time since we commenced filming, and we appreciate your enthusiasm to learn more about the movie. However, the narrative and scale of this film are so extensive that I believe simple images or press events cannot adequately convey it. We are currently developing something to present the essence, richness, and immersive universe we are crafting. This will be revealed in November 2025, and we aim to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN presentation (sic)."

While Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu continue shaping the film’s ambitious vision, Chopra is balancing a packed slate—juggling SSMB 29 with her Hollywood project The Bluff and promotions for her latest OTT release Heads of State.
