Prakash Raj Appears Before ED In Betting Apps Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently summoned actor Prakash Raj in connection with a case involving the alleged promotion of illegal online betting apps. The ED booked 29 celebrities, including Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, and Rana Daggubati, for allegedly endorsing these platforms, which are accused of misleading users and potentially being linked to money laundering.
Prakash Raj appeared before the ED on July 30, 2025, while other actors have been given different dates for their appearances. The investigation, based on five FIRs filed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, is being conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and the Public Gambling Act, 1867.
