Popular Comedy Duo Chinki-Minki Part Ways

Comedians and influencers, Surabhi and Samriddhi Mehra, popularly known as their comedic persona Chinki-Minki announced a professional split on July 3rd. The identical twins known for their dance, acting, appearances on The Kapil Sharma Show, and entertaining short-form content, announced the news on their joint Instagram account which currently stands at a massive 12 million following. “With a heavy heart we are parting ways now as a Jodi. We’ve decided to explore life on our individual journeys from here on,” the post read. The influencers expressed their excitement for the new journey, and gratitude towards their audience in the caption.


This announcement took many fans by surprise with one commenting, “Chinkaaa Minkaaa pls say it's a prank!!! I can't believe it.” Celebrities Vishal Jethwa, Sachin Sharma, and Danish Alfaaz also took to the comment section to express their disbelief.
Others called this sibling breakup a trend, referring to singer Amaal Malik distancing himself from his family and brother Armaan Malik, and singer Sonu Kakkar breaking ties with her siblings Neha and Tony Kakkar earlier this year.
