There’s no doubt that Pawan Kalyan’s relentless promotions have paid off. His latest epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu opened to a sensational response, raking in ₹36 crore share on Day One from the two Telugu states alone including ₹3 crore plus share out of a ₹5 crore gross from special night screenings in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” says a top distributor.

Despite the roaring start, the film has been met with mixed reviews and online trolling, which could pose a challenge in the coming days. “This is the most aggressive Pawan Kalyan has ever been in promoting a film,” the distributor notes. “He’s committed to rescuing producer A.M. Rathnam. But the film needs to collect over ₹100 crore in the Telugu states to break even. Thankfully, it has the advantage of a long weekend ahead.”

Interestingly, big players like Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory came forward to back the release in Telangana. “Their respect for Pawan Kalyan made them pump in funds and resolve the financial disputes surrounding the film,” he adds.
