Our Family Fully Supports Dad, Says Soundarya Rajinikanth
Aishwarya previously directed her father in Laal Salaam, a sports drama that failed to connect with the Telugu audience and ended up bombing at the box office.
Producer Soundarya Rajinikanth has said that there are no regrets about superstar Rajinikanth’s decision to stay away from politics. “There are absolutely no regrets as far as my dad’s journey is concerned,” Soundarya said. “As a family, we fully support him in whatever decision he makes.” However, she refrained from commenting on the present political situation in Tamil Nadu.
Soundarya was in Hyderabad to promote her upcoming film 'With Love'. Speaking on the occasion, she also revealed that discussions are currently underway for a film bringing together Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. “Kamal uncle and daddy are planning to do a film together, and talks are in progress. The production house will announce the details soon. However, I won’t be part of that project,” she clarified.
Talking about With Love, Soundarya spoke fondly about actor Rana Daggubati. “Rana is a childhood friend, and I have many memories with him. The moment I told him about this film, he agreed to bring it forward as his release. I am very happy that he is releasing this film,” she said.
She also expressed confidence in the film’s cast. “I am very happy to launch Abhishan as a hero. He has delivered good success with his debut and performed wonderfully in this film. Anaswara is already doing films in Telugu, and I hope audiences will definitely watch this film in theatres on February 6,” she added.
Soundarya Rajinikanth began her career in cinema as a graphic designer and designed title sequences for several films starring her father Rajinikanth. She later turned producer with Goa (2010) and made her directorial debut with the motion-capture film Kochadaiyaan (2014).
