From one Kapoor to another. Rather two. Last week the OTT audiences were treated to a fantastic performance by Shahid Kapoor as he debuted on Prime Video. This week, Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor are coming to meet you on a streamer. We must say, the viewers are spoiled for a choice.

‘The Law According to Lidia Poet’ is a series that profiles Italy’s first female lawyer. The period drama, expected to be gripping and witty, is headlined by Matilda De Angelis. It is slated for a February 15 release. On the same day, ‘Red Rose’, a British teenage drama, will be dropped on the streamer. The show highlights the perils of technology. It’s a story of a group of teens who are subjected to demands by an app.

The Korean series ‘Mr. Queen’ too will be released on February 15. It deals with a quirky plot as a chef finds himself in the body of a 19th-century queen.

Next on Netflix is a Korean mystery movie, ‘Unlocked’. Releasing on February 17, it is a story of a woman whose all movements are tracked by a dangerous man who gets hold of her mobile phone.

Rohit Shetty so far had a successful run at the Box Office and it was halted by his adaptation of ‘Comedy of Errors’, ‘Cirkus’.  Despite a big star cast including Ranveer Singh, the movie was rejected by critics and fans alike. However, you can still watch it on Netflix from this Friday. Also releasing the same is the second season of a French series ‘Ganglands’.

Friday continues to be a day of focus on streaming platforms too. Polish sci-fi series ‘A Girl and an Astronaut’ will start streaming on February 17. It has an interesting premise. An astronaut returns 30 years after his disappearance, and he hasn’t aged.

Continuing with the flavour of Valentine’s week is the Korean drama ‘Summer Strike’ which will be streamed from February 20.

Disney+ Hotstar

‘Malikappuram’ starring Unni Mukundan has been making quite some waves since its theatrical series in Kerala. Now, the movie is all set for its OTT debut. Dealing with a small girl’s journey to meet her god, ‘Malikappuram’ will be streamed from Feb. 15th in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

‘The Night Manager’ has been one of the best shows in recent times. It is a recipient of multiple awards as well. Now, its Hindi adaptation is all set to be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from Friday, February 17. Starring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead, the series deals with a night manager of a hotel and his run-ins with the arms mafia.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will appear on ‘Nijam with Smith’ on February 17. So, get ready for some interesting anecdotes and political insights.

‘Lost’ is a story of a reporter played by Yami Gautam who is out to find a missing college student. The thriller also stars veteran actor Pankaj Kapur and Rahul Khanna. It will be streamed from Thursday, February 16.

Malayalam thrillers have their own fan following. ‘Veekam’ will be premiering on Zee5 on February 17, Friday. It’s a story of three forensic surgeons and a murder. It stars Dhyan Sreenivasan and Shelu Abraham.
