The much-hyped action thriller HIT 3, starring Nani, has opened to impressive box office numbers, raking in ₹10.5 to ₹11 crore net in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its first day.
A leading distributor remarked, “Nani’s action avatar drew good crowds on Day One. The May 1 holiday played a key role in boosting footfalls for this intense cop drama.”
After recent successes with Dasara and Saripodaa Saanivaram, Nani seems intent on carving a niche as a dependable action hero in Tollywood. In HIT 3, he plays a tormented police officer grappling with a midlife crisis, hypertension, a failing relationship, and a strained bond with his father.
“Nani has embraced a dark role here, showcasing his fiery side while subtly underplaying other emotions. His fan base in Telangana and overseas markets like the US remains strong, and it will be interesting to see if he can extend that success to the Ceded region with this film,” the distributor added.
The opening day collections mark a promising start, but sustaining the momentum will be key to cementing HIT 3 as another feather in Nani’s evolving action-hero cap.
