Keep going young man, Anand tells Rahul Sipligunj

 Hyderabad: After taking the world by storm with his rendition of ‘Naatu Naatu,’ applause and praise refuse to stop for mana award-winning singer Rahul Sipligunj from Mangalhat.

Sipligunj together with Kaala Bhairava sang the Oscar-winning ‘Naatu Naatu’ song from ‘RRR’ and the duo also performed it at the 95th Academy Awards held recently.

Back home now, it is felicitation time for Sipligunj. The 33-year-old met Hyderabad police commissioner C.V. Anand and the top cop was all praise for the singer.

Posting pictures of the meeting on Twitter, Anand wrote in Hindi, “Aaj mai Dhoolpet ka noujawan Rahul Sipligunj se mere office mey mila. Yeh hamare shahar ka naam roushan kiya hai aur woh bhi kahaan? Los Angeles mey Oscar Awards ke function mey jaake wahan Naatu Naatu gaana gaake! Hum sabku bahut khushi honi chahiye iss baat se,kaiku boleto yeh Hyderabadi hain! Keep going young man.” (Sic) (I met young Rahul Sipligunj of Dhoolpet today in my office. He has brought laurels for our city by performing ‘Naatu Naatu’ on a reputed platform like Oscars in Los Angeles. We all must be happy with this as he is a Hyderabadi. Keep going, young man.”

He later tweeted the same message in Telugu as well, earning lots of praise from Twitterati. Anand’s tweet has garnered 81.6K views (and counting) and thousands of likes since it was posted.

Sipligunj replied to Anand’s tweet saying, “Thank you so much @CVAnandIPS sir for such kind words this means a lot to me.” (sic)

Earlier, Sipligunj also Talasani Srinivas Yadav, minister for animal husbandry, fisheries & cinematography who felicitated him.
