Chris Martin

In Coldplay land
Chris Martin and Coldplay were the highlights of the year for music lovers. And Mumbai saw a good 80,000 strong crowd with the whole Bollywood junta in attendance, and many from namma ooru too.

The VIP stand was a sight for any Bollywood fan — Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, Dia Mirza, Pooja Hegde, Arjun Rampal, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Freida Pinto, Vidya Balan, Vivek Oberoi, and lots more. A little birdie told us that Sridevi and her daughter Khushi walked in for the show, and were treated like any other ticket holder, which got the actress pretty miffed… as she apparently wanted star treatment!

The food stalls for the crew, performers, Bollywood and Coldplay were a fiesta for any celeb spotter. Sachin Tendulkar was seen gobbling biryani (we think) at the Indian stall of Voila Gourmet… even as Chris Martin was deep in conversation with him. For the band, there was some continental fare like pasta, pizzas, etc though Martin probably preferred his Taj Land’s End fare.

City girl and Taj honcho Rakhee Lalvani met Chris Martin and Shah Rukh Khan and even posted a photograph on social media of a cocktail evening where she was seen rubbing shoulders with the Coldplay frontman and King Khan.

We hear that a slew of celebrities made their way to the Playboy mansion after the show, with a party hosted by Dino, which had food and booze flowing. Demi Lovato, apparently, went straight to the airport after her song-kreig.

There were thousands of journos waiting backstage for an interview with Chris Martin, and were told that it was not to be, as it was against the Global Ctiizen rules to interview international stars. So, instead, the ever ready, quite friendly and totally warm Bolly brigade posed for selfies and were wonderfully available…
