Sensation White is making a headway into India. Here are a few things you din't know about the big dance event.
The World’s Leading dance Event
Sensation started in the year 2000 in the Amsterdam ArenA and was the first ever electronic music event to be staged in a football stadium.
Sensation Amsterdam is known to sell out all tickets in one day for the last fifteen years.
Sensation started touring in 2005.
Sensation is the most travelled electronic music event in the world and has been to all continents, 33 countries (India will be 34!) and 42 different cities.
Sensation currently tours the world with six different show themes: Ocean of White, Wicked Wonderland, Innerspace, Source of Light, Into the Wild and Welcome to the Pleasuredome.
The creative concept
Every year in Amsterdam Sensation reveals a new show theme.
The first edition of Sensation was called “Shiva” after the Indian deity so this is a homecoming of sorts to India.
The party enforces its all-white dress code as a tribute to Miles Stutterheim, one of its founder members who died in a car accident, and to signify the unity of the “dance music family”.
Sensation Whites, official slogan is “Be part of the Night, Dress in White”.
Sensation has a centre stage, other than a usual concert setup with an end stage. Because of this people won’t be staring at the DJs and looking at each others back, but dancing together in the round.
The Sensation stage is known for being larger than life with lasers, light shows, acrobats, intricate detailing and pyro effects. It can only be called a work of “stagecraft”. You have to see it to believe it.
Almost all DJs now heading the Top 100
Many top DJ’s once played at Sensation somewhere in the world — Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, David Guetta, the former members of the Swedish House Mafia, to name a few.
India has a rocking line-up with Mr White, Lost Frequencies, Axwell, Afrojack and Laidback Luke.
Premiere Welcome to the Pleasuredome
This show has only been set-up in an indoor setting in the Amsterdam ArenA before. India is the first to see the outdoor version.
Sensation is coming to India for the first time for a show in Hyderabad, the city of Nizams.
