MACTA’s award for Zakariya

The award has been instituted on the occasion of the organisation completing 25 years.

At a press meet held in Ernakulam, Dinesh gave the amount to MACTA chairman Jayaraj and secretary Sundardas.

Zakariya Mohammed, director of Sudani from Nigeria, has been selected for the MACTA (Malayalam Cine Technicians Association) Sadananda Puraskaram instituted by A.S. Dinesh in memory of his father Akkeriparambil A.R. Sadananda Prabhu, for the best debut director in 2018. The award that comprises Rs 10,001 and a memento will be distributed at the closing ceremony of MACTA’s Women’s International Film Festival on November 3. The award has been instituted on the occasion of the organisation completing 25 years. At a press meet held in Ernakulam, Dinesh gave the amount to MACTA chairman Jayaraj and secretary Sundardas.

Sudani from Nigeria, a comedy sports drama written and directed by Zakariya Mohammed, was a huge success. Besides Soubin Shahir, it featured Nigerian actor Samuel Abiola Robinson int he lead.
