It seems that the controversies that have blanketed Sarath Menon directorial Veyil are not going to end any time soon. In the latest development, Shane Nigam, who appears in the lead role, has embraced a look having no connection with what he was asked to maintain for the film, ruining the continuity of the film and even creating uncertainty regarding its completion. The actor, as a means of showing his non-cooperation to the movie, has shaved his beard and also gone for a haircut.

The controversy spree kicked off with Shane, who is known to maintain a low profile, took to social media and posted a video clip accusing Joby George, producer of Veyil, of posing threat to his life. The actor added that he had been undergoing mental torture on the set of the film and that the director was responsible for the same. However, Joby in his defense said that the actor was not punctual to the sets and tried to tamper with the look by going for a haircut. The issues were later resolved by the timely intervention of AMMA and the producer’s association. A meeting was set up where the actor and the producer resolved their differences and Shane agreed to cooperate with the team in order to finish the movie. But the events took an ugly twist and the actor left the sets accusing the director of not giving him metal peace and changing the look. Director Sarath, at a press conference, revealed that Shane had been extremely unenthusiastic since the beginning of the shooting and never turned up on time which forced him to call up the actor’s mother and talk to her about the same. The director also said that he had no clue as to what his movie’s future would be.
