THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Dileep has sought a probe into the source of allegations linking him with the rape and abduction of a leading actor. According to sources, Dileep sent a petition to state police chief Loknath Behera seeking an inquiry into the 'malicious campaign' against him on the social media and some news portals. He expressed suspicions of a conspiracy behind the allegations aimed at maligning him, and hence sought a thorough investigation.
Dileep, who at first talked to Mr Behera over phone, sent a formal complaint as advised by the latter. It may be recalled that Dileep had earlier stated that the reports linking him with the attack on actor were baseless. He also denied reports that he was quizzed by police in this connection.
