Chola at Tokyo film festival

Chola is one among the films that have been selected to be premiered under the category of movies by best emerging film makers of Asia.

Chola, which has Joju George, Nimisha Sajayan and debutante Akhil Vishwanath in lead roles, had also won four awards at the Kerala State Film Awards this year, including those for the best male and female actors.

With movies like Chola (Shadow of Water) being screened at prestigious film festivals like Venice Film Festival, Malayalam cinema is providing an international appeal to the Indian film industry. The movie directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has been selected to be screened at Tokyo Film Festival under the category of ‘movies by best emerging filmmakers of Asia’.
