Prithviraj to direct Mohanlal

Actors turning filmmakers is not a new phenomenon in Malayalam film industry. M’town has earlier witnessed the directorials of actors Madhu, Sheela, Adoor Bhasi, Sheela, Bharath Gopi, Jagathy Sreekumar and Nedumudy Venu. Now after a big gap, yet another star is gearing up to hold the megaphone and it is none other than Prithviraj. The star will be seen as directing the super-star of Malayalam film — Mohanlal.

It was through his Facebook page that Prithvi announced this project. The film titled as Lucifer is written by Murali Gopy. When quizzed about the project, the screenwriter says, “Prithviraj was very keen to direct a film on my screenplay. It has been a year since we started talking for a project. Yet another interest of Raju was to direct Lalettan in his debut film itself. It was then I shared the basic idea of Lucifer with him and Raju found it interesting.”

Murali, who is currently busy with  the shoot of two films written by him, opts to keep other details of the project as a secret. “As of now, I cannot reveal other details. Once I become free after the shoot of my ongoing projects Tiyan and Kammarasambham written by me, I will sit for the final draft of Lucifer. Hopefully, this film will reach the floors next year,”  says the actor.

He adds that this Lucifer has no connection with the film, which was announced around few years back with him as the writer and Rajesh Pillai as the director. Later, superstar Mohanlal also chose his Facebook page to share the happiness with his fans and followers. “Here I have a big news...a...And the movie’s name is LUCIFER.”
