More actors donate to relief fund for Kerala

Kochi: More actors have promised financial support to the flood victims. Actors Mammootty and Dulquer Salman have contributed Rs.15 lakh and Rs.10 lakh respectively to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Mammootty personally handed over the cheque to Ernakulam district collector Muhammad Y Safirulla in his chamber on Monday.

Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan through social media urged the people of Kerala to contribute to the CMDRF. Mohanlal has also promised Rs.25 lakh to the CMDRF which will be handed personally to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday.  Tamil-Telugu actors had also lent a helping hand to Kerala to get through the unprecedented natural calamity. Kamal Hassan has donated Rs.25 lakh while actors like Suriya and Karthi came forward offering financial aid.  The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) had contributed Rs.10 lakh to CMDRF.

Jayasurya had distributed essentials to the inmates in relief camps in Paravur.
