Ayaal Sassi to release on May 19

After his critically acclaimed first film Unto The Dusk that won him awards at festivals including the Rajatha Chakoram at the IFFK, Sajin Baabu is ready with his next — Ayaal Sassi, what he calls a more commercial venture. The film with veteran actor Sreenivasan in the lead is coming to theatres on May 19.

Days ago, the song Sassipaatu, sung by Sreenivasan junior — Vineeth — released on Youtube, and has been winning praise. The film revolves around Shashi Namboothiri, played by Sreenivasan, a fraudster of an artist taking credit for others’ work and how life changes at a certain point in his life. A satire, the film takes digs at many real life situations around us.
