KOZHIKODE: Anjali Ameer,  21, is a beautiful model and an upcoming film actor who is celebrating the first women’s day in her life this time on Tuesday  with great joy and self-acceptance.  For,  it was at the age of 2o last year that she became a woman fully after a sex reassignment surgery.   Till then she was struggling  suppressing her ardent wish to become a girl physically.

Anjali, a native  of Thamarassery,  Kozhikode,  has already done some wonderful  magazine photo shoots  and is now busy with the work  of her upcoming film in Malayalam.

Anjali,  who went to Bangalore when she was 19 for graduation course  in nursing, had  always felt  that she  was born in a body that did not feel like hers.  But  she transformed herself  as a woman  following  the  surgery.

Sharing her excitement with DC in celebrating the first women’s day on March 8, Anjali said, “this will be the first women’s day in my life when  I proudly declare myself as a woman  and overcome my fear of people who laughed  at me till the previous year.   Now I see myself as a successful model trying up all beautiful women attires and makeup and my transformation is indeed gaining me more popularity in the industry with lots of respect from the people around.”

“ The struggles in my life were  over when I underwent the surgery and converted  my soul and body as a woman.    Soon after I realised the importance of self- acceptance, all the people around me started respecting me,”  she  added.
“On this women’s day,  I call upon people from my community to be proud of what you are and live with your passion and career confidently just like others,”  she said.
