Aiming a hat-trick after the 2015 release Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare and latest box office hit Aadupuliyattam, actor Jayaram and director Kannan Thamarakulam are pairing up again. And the director unveils the details, “It is a youth-oriented thriller. Jayaram ettan will be playing a never-before-seen character, sporting a different look. Three other major male characters are also there.” Hesitant to divulge more, Kannan said the movie would go on floors in October.
Tentatively named Shappu Curry at first, the makers have plans to rechristen the movie. Meanwhile, Aadupuliyattam is going places with its Tamil and Telugu versions ready to hit the marquee. Titled Sembaka Kottai, the Tamil version will be released next month. “In Telugu, the rights are purchased by actress Ramya Krishnan. The movie’s title will be Matangi,” says the director. Ramya played the female lead in Aadupuliyattam. The new Jayaram movie has a multi-star cast and is touted to be a big budget project.
