Chithram gets sequel!

There is good news for all movie buffs, especially Mohanlal fans. If reports are to be believed, Chithram, one of the most celebrated films of the actor, is about to get a sequel. The sequel of the 1988-hit comedy drama directed by Priyadarshan will have Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan in lead roles. However, Priyadarshan will not be directing the new film. The sequel will be helmed by Vineeth Sreenivasan with another title.

Chithram had featured Mohanlal and Ranjini in lead roles along with Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Lissy, Jagadeesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Sukumari, Thikkurissy and Innocent among others. Its songs, penned by Shibu Chakravarthy and M.G. Sreekumar and composed by Kannur Rajan, still remain favourites of music lovers.    The yet-to-be-titled movie is Pranav’s seventh project as an actor.
