Asif’s Kunjeldho progresses in Kochi

Kunjeldho and Niveditha’s romance forms the crux of the movie.

The shooting of Asif Ali-starrer Kunjeldho has begun at U.C. College, Aluva. Directed by Mathukutty, well-known radio jockey and TV host, the movie narrates the story of Kunjeldho, a college student. A graduation student, he is the blue-eyed boy on the campus. He has two friends, Jinto and Ikkru, played by Arjun Gopal and Midhun M. Das respectively.

On the campus, Kunjeldho meets Niveditha, a village belle played by newbie Gopika Udayan, and they fall in love. Rest of the cast includes Siddique, Sudheesh, Kichu, Nisthar Sett, Rajesh Sharma and Kottayam Pradeep. Inspired from real life, Kunjeldho gives importance to humour. Romance between Kunjeldho and Niveditha forms the crux of the movie. Ahmed Kabeer is the co-director.   

Asif was last seen in Kakshi Amminipillai, where he essayed the role of a lawyer who aspires to be a politician. His upcoming movies are Underworld and Kettiyolanu Ente Malakha. Directed by Arunkumar Aravind, Underwold will hit the screens on Novemeber 1.
