KR$NA Teams Up with Nas’ Mass Appeal for Highly Anticipated Project

Known for his razor-sharp lyricism and technical precision, KR$NA, born Krishna Kaul, has been a key figure in the Indian Hip Hop scene. With a career that began in the mid-2000s under the name Prozpekt, KR$NA’s rise to prominence continued with his signing to Kalamkaar, a label founded by Ankit Khanna. His distinctive multilingual flow and bold approach to songwriting have made him one of South Asia’s most influential MCs.

KR$NA’s breakthrough into the mainstream came with his cameo as himself in the Bollywood hit Gully Boy (2019), which helped propel Indian Hip Hop into the cultural spotlight.

“This project is a culmination of months of work, and it represents a new phase in my career,” KR$NA said. “It’s been incredible to work with Mass Appeal, a label led by the legendary Nas. I’m excited to share this expanded sound with my fans worldwide.”

Mass Appeal, renowned for its groundbreaking contributions to Hip Hop, has a roster that includes icons like DJ Premier and M.anifest, and has previously worked with Indian artists such as DIVINE, Raftaar, and Karan Aujla. The label's CEO, Peter Bittenbender, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “KR$NA is a lyrical powerhouse with a story that deserves the world stage.
