Hype for the film is immense, backed by strong advance bookings. It is expected to collect Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office on its opening day.
Trade pundits predict that the film will net Rs 85 to 90 crore across all languages in India. The Hindi version alone could mint Rs 35 to 40 crore, while the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions are projected to bring in Rs 12 to 15 crore. Toxic is set for the 12th-biggest opening for an Indian film, surpassing Animal, Adipurush and Jawan, but falling short of Yash’s ₹164-crore record set by KGF Chapter 2.It remains to be seen how much the film will ultimately rake in on day one at the ticket windows.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles. Toxic was cleared by the CBFC with no cuts and received an A rating.
