Pune Porsche Case: Actor Vishal condemns family

A viral video showing members of the Agarwal family celebrating after securing bail has triggered widespread public outrage. The case stems from a tragic May 2024 incident in Pune. A luxury Porsche allegedly driven rashly by a juvenile rammed into two people. Both victims were young IT engineers who lost their lives in the crash. The Supreme Court recently granted bail to three accused in a linked evidence-tampering case. Strict conditions were imposed to ensure they do not misuse their liberty. However, the video sparked immediate anger across social media platforms.

Actor Vishal was among the prominent voices expressing sharp condemnation online. In a blunt tweet directed at the juvenile, Vedant Agarwal, the actor criticized the family. He stated that the youth had done nothing to make his family proud. Instead, he took two innocent lives due to drunk driving. Vishal acknowledged that wealth and social contacts might help exploit loopholes in the system. He noted that the family might rejoice in the open for now due to their flamboyant status. However, the actor warned that justice operates beyond legal technicalities.

Asking the accused to remember that Karma has its way of coming back to haunt them, the actor wrote, "What goes around comes around. Not cursing u. But honestly you don't deserve to rejoice even if your dad has managed to plug all the loopholes in your case." He urged PM Modi and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis to take a look at the video.
