Actor R. Madhavan has expressed happiness over his longtime friend Vijay becoming the state's Chief Minister. The actor, who is promoting his upcoming biographical drama G.D.N., said he was proud to see Vijay in the top political post.
Speaking in a recent interview, Madhavan said many positive developments were taking place under Vijay's government. He shared that he had known the superstar for many years and understood him well. Madhavan added that he could proudly say his friend had become Chief Minister. He also described it as “a lot of good things” happening under the current administration.
When asked if he would ever join politics, Madhavan made it clear that he had no interest in entering public life.
Sharing his views on politics, the actor said it was a “double-edged sword.” He explained that politicians faced criticism whether they performed well or made mistakes. According to him, there would always be a section of people who viewed every decision negatively.
Meanwhile, Madhavan is awaiting the release of G.D.N., a biopic on industrialist G.D. Naidu. The film also stars Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, and Dushara Vijayan.
