Veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah and Mammootty are set to reunite on screen after 32 years, and this time, Dhanush is also in the mix. The Bollywood veteran has joined the cast of OM Chapter One, starring Dhanush and Mammootty in the lead roles. The last time the two actors shared screen space was in Ponthan Mada (1994), directed by T.V. Chandran. While Mammootty played the titular character Ponthan Mada, Naseeruddin Shah portrayed the character Sheema Thampuran. OM Chapter One, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is scheduled for release on October 16. The film has generated considerable excitement among fans since its announcement.

Produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films in association with Artek Cinemas, the film features Dhanush and Mammootty in equally significant roles. It marks the reunion of the two actors after the Malayalam film Kammath & Kammath. Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela play the female leads, while Indrans also appears in a key role. The music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography is by Ezhil Arasu, editing by R. Kalaivanan, and costumes by Kavya Sreeram.
