Trisha, who has been quite busy with a bevy of films in her kitty, including the one with Arvind Swamy and Vijay Sethupathi, and two heroine-centric films, etc., is debuting in M’town with Hey Jude. The film has happening actor Nivin Pauly in the lead and Shyamaprasad, the multiple national award-winner wielding the mega phone.

The Kodi actress had shared earlier with us that she was very impressed with the mind-blowing script of noted filmmaker Shyamaprasad and revealed that rarely a heroine comes across such strong roles.

“There’s a lot of scope for performance. The entire team was appealing and I felt it was the right choice for my foray into the Malayalam industry,” said Trisha.

Now, the buzz is that Trisha will be seen as a Christian girl in Hey Jude. The unit will be traveling to Goa in the coming week and major portions of the film will be shot at the coastal region. Trisha has apparently given a chunk of 25 days for the film.

An aide close to Trisha confirms the report, saying, “Yes, she will essay a Christian girl in the movie.” When asked if Trisha is reminded of her evergreen Christian character Jessie that she portrayed in Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, the source replies, “No doubt the Jessie character which brought out a different dimension of her is very close to her heart. Here, Trisha plays an inimitable character which is equally challenging.”

Nivin Pauly on his part, said, “Hey Jude is a wonderful tale of love, self-discovery, healing and transformation. I am looking forward to working with Shyamaprasad sir.”
