Vikram might replace Kamal Haasan

If tinsel town sources are to be believed, Chiyaan Vikram might replace Kamal Haasan in the period flick Marudhanayagam, which has been Kamal's dream project for years but his attempts to revive have proved futile.

Marudhanayagam,  shelved almost four decades back, is a historical movie on 18th century warrior named Mohammed Yusuf Khan portrayed by Kamal. The movie was launched with much fanfare way back in 1997, with Queen Elizabeth II and several K'town and Bollywood celebrities attending it.

The buzz now is that Kamal who is busy with his political career had initiated talks with Vikram during the making of his recent production venture Kadaram Kondan which featured Vikram in the lead about the possibility of him playing the titular role. If all goes well, Vikram might opt for it after his present commitments with Ajay Gnanamuthu and Mani's Ponniyin Selvan are over.
