Suriya gifts gold coins to team

Taking a cue from Vijay who used to gift all his crew members with gold rings and watches when he wraps up a film shoot, actor Suriya gifted an 8-gram gold coins to 150-odd unit members of Soorarai Pottru on the day the shoot was completed.  Earlier, the Kaappaan actor had gifted a sovereign gold coin when he wrapped up NGK.

Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame has Aparna Balamurali as Suriya’s pair.  Mohan Babu and Jackie Shroff play crucial roles. The film, said to be a biographical account of founder of low-cost airline Air Deccan, Captain GR Gopinath, is being made by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. GV Prakash teams up with Suriya for music.
