Kishore bags Kathir

Directed by Arangan who has a vast experience working with many filmmakers, the movie has newcomers Vishwa and Neeraja as the lead pair.

Even as the release of Kishore’s period movie Kalathur Gramam has been postponed, the method actor has been roped in for a film titled Kathir, where he plays Kumbakonam Guna. The film is inspired from the life of a real life personality ‘Bus Stand Guna’ who lived in Kumbakonam.  

Directed by Arangan who has a vast experience working with many filmmakers, the movie has newcomers Vishwa and Neeraja as the lead pair.

Talking about the film Arangan says, “The story is about a society conscious man whose life changes when he falls for a girl. When I wrote the character Kumbakonam Guna, a well-known person in the temple town, the actor who came to my mind first was Kishore. Having said that, he has given a wonderful performance in the film.”

Master Rajanayagam, who has acquired black belt in Kung-fu will be seen playing the antagonist. Soundaryan is staging a comeback and Kathir will be his 50th album.
