Two brothers Charuhasan and Sathyanarayana Rao talk about their popular actor turned politician siblings Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth respectively as to how they would fare in politics in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking at the Chatrapathi Sivaji Jayanthi organised by Maratha community at Krishnagiri, Rajini’s elder brother Sathayanarayana Rao revealed, “Rajinikanth will soon announce the name of his party.  Once he announces his party
name, he will meet the people in all the districts of the state and he has enough time for that.”

Replying to a query on whether he would keep alliance with any other party, Sathyanarayana said, “He would never align with any other party and would contest solely in forthcoming elections.”

Reasoning out as why his brother didn’t visit Thoothukudi people after the police firing incident, he stated, “He already expressed his views through a statement. Because the law and order situation was not conducive there, Rajini
could not go.”

With regard to Cauvery water sharing issue he asserted, “Karnataka is having good rains now and I don’t think any problem would arise with TN getting enough Cauvery water. Everything will go smooth.”

On the other hand, Charuhasan says his younger brother Kamal is intelligent but lacks political experience. “Tamil Nadu politics is caste driven and it will be a major disadvantage for Kamal,” he is quoted as saying. While people have more attraction for Rajinikanth, there’s chance of his succeeding in politics, his brother Kamal has been admired only for his good acting, the national award winner quipped.
