The Vellai Pookkal actor says that planting sapling has almost become an addiction to him as he shared a picture of a tree on his social media, from a sapling planted during 2016 and which has grown into a tree in 2 ½ years. His request to youth and women for the World Environmental Day (June 5) is going viral — “I planted a sapling at Ambal School in Annur in 2016. With a characteristic witty line he says, “Please include your sisters, mothers in the sapling event as I feel that those saplings which are planted by women will grow faster.”
