Deekay's next is Kaateri

Deekay’s previous flick Kavalai Vendam starring Jiiva and Kajal Aggarwal did middling business at the box-office. Earlier, there were reports that he would join hands with Kajal Aggarwal for the second consecutive time. The director who has been working with two scripts post Kavalai Vendam’s release has now finalised his next project. 

Deekay’s next titled Kaateri will be an adventure comedy flick which is currently in the pre-production stage. Speaking to DC, the Yaamiruka Bayamey director says, “I’m thrilled to start working on this project. Even though the film is an adventure comedy, it will also have horror and thriller elements incorporated in it. We have roped in Oviya as one of the heroines and will be introducing Telugu actor Aadi Pudipeddi in Tamil. Kaateri has four heroines and we shall be announcing them one by one.” 

Actor Aadi shares, “Since I am  working on Next Nuvve which also has Gnanavel sir as producer, we got talking. He asked me if I had done a Tamil film before — and I responded saying I hadn’t. He proposed the film, since he was looking for a notable face in Telugu cinema, as a bilingual was being planned.”

Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja or Studio Green, the film is expected to go on floors in two months.
