Actor Darshan Thoogudeep still in hospital

Mysuru: While Sandalwood star Darshan and his friend Roy Antony are still being treated at a private hospital in the city following their road accident on Monday, actor Devraj and his actor son Prajwal,  who were also injured in it, were discharged on Tuesday and they left for Bengaluru. Mysuru district-in-charge Minister, G T Devegowda, who visited the actors in hospital, said Darshan would be discharged on Wednesday. 

“The actors are doing well. Their fans don’t need to be anxious,” he added. Recalling the accident,  Devraj said as it was his birthday on Sunday, a friend had invited him to his house to celebrate and it was while they were returning that the car  hit the median and toppled over. 

“It was a small accident and we all are safe. Except for a fracture in my finger, I have not suffered any other injury. We will go back to shooting shortly,” he said.  Prajwal said the driver lost control of the vehicle and everyone suffered minor injuries.  “I had cut injuries on my hand, and the doctors have put in a few stitches. We  are all recovering and will be back to shooting shortly,” he added.
Meanwhile, the  Mysuru city police had a tough time controlling the fans who swarmed around the hospital on Tuesday too.
