Madhavan and Mani Ratnam to join hands again?

The duo, who has worked together in four films, might collaborate again for a project.


The buzz in town is that Madhavan and Mani Ratnam might join hands for the fifth time! There has always been something phenomenal about the films where these two have worked together. Be it Alaiyapaythue’s Karthik, or Ayutha Ezhuthu’s Inba, or the edgy writer Indira of Kannathil Muthamittal — each of their collaborations has showed a different dimension of the actor, and now, it is said that the duo might team up again for another film.

“The talks are in the initial stage. Madhavan is currently busy with a Hindi project and that could be a hurdle for the development,” the source reveals.

The source further states that if everything falls in place, this project might be the next film of Mani Ratnam, and it will be a multi-starrer, which will go on floors in September.

Also, it was earlier speculated that Fahadh Faasil has been in talks with the ace director for the film. However, the source reveals, “Currently, no such talks have taken place between the two sides. It has been only hearsay as of now.” It would be a treat indeed to watch Madhavan in Mani’s film again.
