Rajinikanth's next is with Karthik Subbaraj

At a time when Kamal Haasan, post his entry into politics, has resolved not to act in films after completing his pending ones, his contemporary Rajinikanth is still on a signing spree.  Superstar's next was announced Friday with Sun Pictures set to produce the massive project. The movie is directed by new gen director Karthik Subbaraj.

Interestingly, just as Rajini chose the two-film old Ranjith for Kabali, he is now giving a chance to Subbaraj, who has made only three films in his career — Pizza, with its unconventional theme, Jigardhanda which was critically acclaimed and Iraivi with a controversial subject.
