Top stars support Vishal's plea!

Recently, an awards function held in Hyderabad was a damp squib since many top actors gave it a miss after Tamil Nadu Movie Artistes Association President Vishal gave a call to skip it. Naturally, without the big stars, the function ended up as a flop show. 

Only actors who won awards were seen at the function. However, even top actors from the Telugu film industry were conspicuous by their absence.

Apparently, Vishal had asked the organisers to donate some money for his association, which they refused to do. Vishal then asked all the actors not to attend their functions and found support from many of them. 

He later thanked all the actors on his social media page for understanding the sentiments of the association. “I sincerely thank @NayantharaU @Karthi_Offl #simbu @khushsundar n other friends for understanding the associations sentiments n policy n not attending da award function though they were winners. big thanks. Dis iniatitive is jus to generate money for our senior artistes pension gb (sic),” tweeted Vishal.
