Still from Rangaraatinam

Child-artiste-turned-hero, Mahendran, is yet to get a big break, despite having done a couple of films that were critically acclaimed. The actor’s next is Rangaraatinam, in which, he essays a happy-go-lucky guy, who plays pranks on others in his village. His family lands in trouble because of this, and fearing repercussions, he runs away from home. This flick is directed by Sundaran, whose previous project is Thittakudi. Actress Shilpa from Sandalwood debuts in Tamil with this rural-based film.

Talking about the movie, Sundaran says, “It is a fun-filled film, and the narration is the highlight of the movie. We have shot in and around Thiruvannamalai. Mahendran has a flair for comedy and humour comes naturally to him. Apart from his comic act, Naan Kadavul Rajendran has given a serious performance.”
