Guess who impressed Mani Ratnam?

At just five years of age, Dhyana Madan has managed to take Twitter by storm, with her adorable pictures with Deepika Padukone. The young and vibrant model is now all set to venture into films with Mani Ratnam’s ongoing project Kaatru Veliyidai, starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari, in the lead roles. In an exclusive chat with DC, Vipul Madan, Dhyana’s father, sheds light on his daughter’s life as a TV commercial model and a budding actress. On being roped in for Mani Ratnam’s film, Vipul says, “We were in Mumbai for the launch of a TV commercial. We heard that auditions were on for a health drink brand. Dhyana gave her best at the audition, and the production company had sent her clip to Mani Ratnam. A couple of days later, we got a call from the director’s team that Dhyana has been selected.”

Vipul is tight-lipped about Dhyana’s role in the film. “I am not really sure if I can reveal it now. But, I can say that it will be an important role. She will be shooting for four to five days in Leh,” he reveals. As a doting father, Vipul believes that his daughter’s talents are innate. “No one in my family is into TV commercials or films. She loves to dance and sing and it just comes naturally comes to her. Dhyana is really fun to be with. She is always involved in some kind of activity, be it swimming or running or dancing,” he beams. Pondering over Dhyana’s future plans, Vipul explains, “I really want her career to be associated with TVC’s. If she is willing, my wife Ena and I will extend our full support to our beloved daughter.”
