Actor Aaryan, identified more as Paan Parag Ravi from Vijay’s Thiruppachi, has changed tracks and started signing supporting yet significant characters!
“I was typecast as a villain and did several flicks as a baddie. The deliberate break I took helped me reinvent myself,” Aaryan says with a grin.

The actor, who started with Kasthuriraja’s Dreams, adds, “Before joining films, I had done many plays including Jesus Christ. People who  watched the play, used to say that I fit the role as my face looks exactly like Christ. Later, Thiruppachi happened and everyone forgot my original name! They call me Paan Parag Ravi after the character. I am happy with the reach but, I don’t want to get trapped with the image forever,  hence I took a brief break.”

Aaryan now has more than four flicks in his kitty, including Pottu with Bharath, and  Kaanbadhu Poi, a female-centric film with Anjali. “In Pottu, which has Bharath, veteran Napoleon and Ineya and  is directed by Vadivudayan, I have a positive character and it has shaped up very well.  I also feature in two songs. The movie will definitely break my villain image. I have also bagged a role in Gautham Karthik’s Muthuramalingam. The movie is set in Tirunelveli, and I have a substantial role,” he explains.

InKaanbadhu Poi, he has replaced versatile actor Kishore because of the latter’s date issues. He is also making his Kannada debut with the movie Radhanekanda.
