New film to have a social message.

VPopular cinematographer turned villain/ character artiste Aruldoss has added one more feather to his cap. He is taking on the avatar of a producer. The new movie is interestingly titled Therum Porum. The movie has Dinesh as the protagonist and is directed by Vikram Sugumaran of Madhayaanai Koottam fame.

Talking to DC, Aruldoss said “I normally involve myself with all aspects of filmmaking. When Thai Saravanan of Nallusamy Pictures approached me to make a film on a first copy basis, I wanted to give it a try. Therum Porum is an action family drama with a relevant social message. It has a powerful subject set in south Tamil Nadu, in Sivagangai."

Though he was tight-lipped about the subject, a close source revealed that TP deals with caste issues and the politics surrounding that.

Ask him about choosing Dinesh for the lead, and he says “We were impressed with his performance in Irandam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu and we felt he would be fresh in the role of rural boy. The film has humour, romance, drama, action, all rolled into one. We are yet to finalize the female lead.”

Arundoss is also playing a role with negative shades. While ace Sukumar is behind the camera, Justin Prabhakaran does the music.
