Arulnithi is always lauded for his choice of films, which are known for not being monotonous. Now, in his upcoming film Brindavanam, directed by Radha Mohan, he will be seen playing the role of a deaf and mute person.

Talking about the film, Arul says, “Brindavanam is about the relationship between a star and a fan, who is deaf. It depicts how a film star affects the life of a person, who can’t hear. It is an emotional film with many moving moments but also it is filled with umpteen hilarious scenes. The are instances where you will laugh while you cry.”

The film has actor Vivekh, acting as himself. “Vivekh sir and I will be in every frame of the film, and our presence will be judiciously justified by Radha Mohan sir,” says the Vamsam actor.

Tanya Ravichander, who was seen in Sasi Kumar’s Balle Vellaiyatheva, is playing the female lead in the film. Arulnithi says she fits the role seamlessly.

“This is actually her debut film. Tanya doesn’t act like a newcomer at all. She acted effortlessly throughout the film.”

When asked about his knack for choosing interesting scripts, he says “I make it a point to not do similar films because I don’t want anyone to say one of my films is better than the other. When I hear a script, I try to judge it from the audience’s point of view.”

Arulnithi has signed another film titled Iravuku Aayiram Kangal, directed by debutant Mu Maaran. The thriller will go on floors in March. “I usually do one film at a time, but IAK’s script was really impressive, so I had to give my nod right away.”
