Actor Vemal who is trying his hand at adult comedy for the first time in the film titled Ivanukku Engeyo Machcham Irukku has cashed in on the hot topic of the day - the #MeToo campaign. Directed by Mukesh, the film has Ashna Zaveri romancing Vemal. The title as well as the promo stills suggest Vemal may be essaying a flirty character in the flick.
To cash in on #MeToo, the team has come out with a quirky promo for the film. In the trailer released recently, Vemal says in a lighter vein, “MeToo is not only for women, it is for men as well! So long, I didn’t want to open my mouth, but TimesUp , I have to speak! Do you know what Kanchana did after she kidnapped me to the forest bungalow?.”
This is followed by a tag ‘Warning! Adult Content’! Then follows a bedroom scene where Ashna is seen stripping Vemal’s attire. There’s a liberal dose of double entendre by actors like Anandaraj, Singam Puli and Mansoor Ali Khan. And, not to forget, references to Sri Reddy and Sunny Leone! And the trailer is going viral on online platforms.
