After crooning Kabali’s Neruppu Da, there is no stopping Arunraja Kamaraj. The actor-singer is being flooded with both singing and acting offers. Arunraja will next share the screen with GV Prakash in his upcoming, yet-to-be-titled film. Debutant director Shanmugam will helm this flick.

In a chat with DC, the lyricist-actor opens up about his role in the film — “It is a character role and is very important for the plot. I have been told not to reveal anything in detail about the part.”

When probed if it is an out-and-out comedy role, he says, “No. It will have shades of comedy but it is not a full-fledged comedy role.”

He has been quite busy as a lyricist lately with various projects, including P Vasu’s Shivalinga, and Atlee’s production venture Sangili Bungili Kathava Thora. He has also rendered a song for Arjun’s Tamil-Kannada bilingual Nibunan.

The Raja Rani star is also an aspiring director and is ready with a script. He has so far narrated his script to three leading heroes but hasn’t roped in anyone as of now. Talking about his script, he says, “I would like to do something different in terms of the screenplay but people keep telling me to give a commercial hit and then experiment with a film. I think one can make a different attempt and make it a blockbuster as well.”
