Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Amitash Pradhan, new additions in Mani Ratnam’s film

While Mani Ratnam is busy in the pre-production of his magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, his much awaited production venture Vaanam Kottatum under the Madras Talkies banner went on the floors recently. As announced earlier, Aishwarya Rajesh plays Vikram Prabhu’s sister in the film while Madonna Sebastian will be seen romancing him. The latest addition to the cast is Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Amitash Pradhan of VIP fame. The cast ensemble also includes real life couple Radhikaa and Sarathkumar.

Co-written by Mani itself, the film is directed by his protégé Dhana, who earlier debuted with the movie Padai Veeran starring Vijay Yesudas and Bharathiraja.

While Preetha, who is busy with a Hindi film Tadka, has been roped in as the cinematographer, the film marks the debut of popular singer Sid Sriram as a music director.
